Nic is a Pacific Northwest voice talent. After 19 years in the Seattle area he, his wife whom he met in 2001 at Univ. of Washington, and their two daughters relocated to Spokane, WA. In his youth Nic set out to conquer the world and become a physician. As Robert Burns says about the best laid schemes, Nic left behind his academic endeavors and followed a career path in hotel & hospitality operations management. However, a calling to the medical field never subsiding, Nic returned to school. Just as his first daughter was born he earned his Registered Nurse (RN) license. Then, in 2018 he finally completed his BSN at the University of Washington where he also worked at the medical center.
Today, Nic still works as an RN, but for the Department of Veterans Affairs as an Informatics Nurse. The moves he’s made to stabilize his career and enjoy the rewards of a great work-life balance lends well to Nic exploring passions in audiobook narration, medical voiceover, and clinical consulting for the creative arts. When not working or producing a voice-over project you’ll find Nic playing sports (soccer or basketball) with his youngest daughter, gaming with his older daughter, snuggling his two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, getting outdoors with his wife, watching college & pro sports, barbecuing or enjoying a game of cornhole with friends.
Nic entered the world of Voice Acting as a passion project stemming from his own enjoyment of 100’s of audiobooks. Paired with his critical eye for detail and appreciation of nuance he came to the realization he has much to offer the world of audiobooks. Nic’s talents lend well to strong, confident, playful, sarcastic, and authoritative male narration. Rather than overperform voices outside his range (non-native accent, children, or highly feminine voices) he uses subtle shifts in tone, volume and pitch to differentiate characters. That said, Nic is always excited for the opportunity to grow his skills and vocal abilities so do not hesitate to ask for a unique sound to fit your vision. Worst case it doesn’t work, best case Nic can hone a new vocal tool for his repertoire. Who knows? Your unique vocal request may be just the inspiration he needs to bring to ongoing development and training with his coaches.

He is constantly engaging in both free and paid trainings from industry experts in audio production, voice acting, and narrating to improve his skills and abilities. Additionally, Nic participates in a number of community groups for audio software, Voice-Over & Narration to learn best practices.
